ADVENTISTS NEED 1,000 NEW CHURCHES
IN NORTH AMERICA THIS YEAR
Ministry, the Seventh-day Adventist pastor's journal, reported that the Adventist membership in the North American Division is in decline and not keeping up with the growth of the population. J. Kidder reports: "To maintain the ratio of churches to population as it was in 1913, we [the SDA Church] would need to add 1,000 churches to the North American Division today."
Just one observation – that's not going to happen.
(Ministry, "Reflections on the future of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America: The long view of church growth (part 2 0f 2)," February, 2011, p. 16).
